  • 2 lbs. raw lean ground beef or turkey
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup oat bran
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder or granulated garlic
  • 1 egg

Preheat oven to 350° F. Combine all ingredients together and mix thoroughly. Roll mixture into 1” balls, or roll the “dough” into long logs and then slice it into rounds, and place on a cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment (makes for easier clean up). We recommend using rubber or latex gloves to form and roll the meatballs.

(You can also line the pan and plop the meat mixture on to the cookie sheet, squishing it down so that it is a ¼ inch to ½ inch thick over the entire pan, like a big bar cookie. If you choose this method, cut it into pieces immediately when you remove it from the oven.)
Bake 15-20 minutes or until evenly browned and cooked through. Remove from the oven, drain the fat, and let the treats cool. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer. They freeze very well; you can keep a few in the fridge and put the rest in the freezer so they last longer.
